Terms of Service.

The Service

Guestlist is the digital infrastructure for discovering, requesting access to, and attending social events across India. We connect guests, hosts, venues, and promoters through tools for event listings, access requests, approvals, payments, QR entry, and door operations. We do not own or operate the events listed on Guestlist unless we say so explicitly.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Guestlist. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate. If you use Guestlist on behalf of a venue, brand, or business, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Accounts and roles

• Guests may browse events, request access, pay for entry where required, receive QR passes, and attend approved events.
• Hosts may create and manage events, review applicants, approve or reject access, operate door tools, and view event analytics.
• Promoters may share referral links, track attributed guests, and receive compensation according to arrangements with hosts or Guestlist.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Guestlist for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
• Harass, threaten, impersonate, or mislead other users, hosts, or venues.
• Submit false applications, fake identities, or manipulated attendance data.
• Circumvent access controls, scan limits, payment requirements, or door checks.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service or its security.
• Use Guestlist to distribute spam, malware, or unauthorised promotional content.

We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, or restrict access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

Events, hosts, and guest requests

Hosts are responsible for their event listings, capacity, pricing, admission decisions, on-site conduct, and compliance with applicable laws, venue rules, and licensing requirements. Requesting access through Guestlist does not guarantee entry. Hosts may approve or reject applicants at their discretion, subject to our policies and applicable law.

Guestlist provides the platform but is not a party to agreements between guests, hosts, venues, or promoters regarding a specific event.

Payments and refunds

Where events require payment, prices and refund rules are set by the host or venue and shown before you pay. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law, ticket purchases are generally non-refundable once confirmed. Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in account restrictions.

QR passes and check-ins

Approved guests may receive a digital QR pass for entry. QR passes are personal, non-transferable unless explicitly allowed by the host, and may be invalidated if misused, duplicated, or obtained fraudulently. Hosts and authorised door staff may scan, approve, or deny entry according to event rules.

Promoters

Promoter links must be used honestly and in line with host instructions. We may track applications, payments, and check-ins attributed to a promoter link to calculate performance and earnings. Promoter compensation terms are defined by the relevant host or separate agreement with Guestlist.

Content and intellectual property

Guestlist and its branding, design, software, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a licence to use, display, and process it as needed to operate the Service. You must have the rights to any content you upload, including event images and profile material.

Disclaimers

Guestlist is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that any event will occur as described. We are not responsible for the actions of hosts, venues, guests, promoters, or third parties, including conduct at events, venue safety, or alcohol service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Guestlist and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Guestlist in the twelve months before the claim or ₹5,000.

Termination

You may stop using Guestlist at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or where required by law. Sections that by nature should survive termination — including payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will continue to apply.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Guestlist evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
